Please check back with us as our schedule of volunteer meal delivery drivers is being updated and will be posted shortly. Keep a look out for more Meals2Heal news in the media!

Ordering Meals2Heal

We are happy to announce that Meals2Heal is back!  This time we have partnered with Newton Wellesley Hospital’s Vernon Cancer Center department of nutrition for their expertise and help with identifying menu options at our participating Meals2Heal restaurants; Susu Bakery, Captain Marden’s, or The Local in Wellesley, MA.  Simply call the restaurant between the hours of 11:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday to order a meal, supply the recipients’ name and telephone number and the restaurant will contact a WCPP volunteer below to deliver the meal. Please note: when ordering from The Local, please also contact our volunteers listed below to schedule meal delivery.

Healthy suggestions: Captain Marden’s: Salmon & Arugula Salad; The Local: The Local Harvest Salad (baby kale, roasted sweet potatoes, red grapes, toasted hazelnuts, pecorino, citrus vinaigrette); Beet & Arugula Salad (goat cheese, pistachio, honey vinaigrette)

If you would like to join our league of local restaurants supplying meals, please watch our short intro video below filmed at The Local and email today!

Backup meal drivers: please call Patrick Hegarty for availability.

What is Meals2Heal?

Meals2Heals is a meal delivery service made possible by partnering with local restaurants to supply fresh meals to people undergoing treatment. Our meal delivery service differs from the many meal services available that require a login to a website to order pre-packaged meals prepared in advance by national meal service companies. Often, these meals pile up in a cooler at the doorstep as the family cannot eat or store the amount of meals they receive.  Friends and family may also become overwhelmed with the coordination needed to help provide meals.  The WCPP will expand our meal delivery service this Fall to neighboring communities and is excited about the support that the Newton Wellesley Hospital Vernon Cancer Center Nutrition Department has offered to help promote this new service to our community!
